Fairfield traveled to Malakoff on Friday night for their last district game of the season, losing to the Tigers 41-7 to finish in fourth place in district play behind Malakoff, Groesbeck, and Teague.
The Eagles did a phenomenal job in the first half as they held the Tigers to just 10 points — a touchdown in the first quarter and a field goal in the second quarter.
